Price Of Gas Reflecting Price Of Oil?
As the price for crude oil continues to drop, as of today it is below $115, you may notice something at the pump. Prices went up a lot faster than they are coming down. The average price of gas around the nation was just around $3.50 the last time oil was priced this low. We’ve seen small surges that took us down near that price, but nothing has been stable. My area now has climbing gas prices, up to $3.75 at a lot of stations. And I’m in the Midwest where gas tends to be the cheapest! A little while back we saw a swing on the price of oil that saw it take a nosedive. The price hikes saw the price at the pump skyrocket as much as 20 or 30 cents in a weeks time. Now with a drop in price we’ve seen a slow drip in gas prices. This really needs to be addressed and something needs to be done about it. We deserve a fair market price on gas that reflects the price of oil. And in a fair market the price drops just as quickly as it rises.
